Are you often at a loss for what to write about? Do you feel that your brain just doesn’t hold anything of value to others at times? This affects us all at some time or another. Regardless of how long you’ve been writing there are days when we just come up dry for ideas.
Here is a list of some of my favorite and most effective topics for articles. Hope they help!
- Adapt one of your most popular blog entries to create an article.
- Rewrite the same information twice – once for beginners and for more advanced readers. Gear your writing to each group, and you’ll have two articles.
- Check out keyword alternatives that Google suggests. These are searches that people are making, so are great topics for articles that satisfy those searches.
- Read some current magazines, and look for articles that fit with your subject. Many times you can use just one idea from an article and expand on it. Just don’t copy it!
- Use a list template (that’s what I’m doing here)
- Check out forums, blogs, and newsletters in your niche for topics or questions that your target readers may be asking about.
- Set up a Google Alert, and see what comes up in your selected niche topic
- Share information that you have that others in your area of expertise may need or want.
- Check out Yahoo Answers, and find questions that people are asking.
- Go to HubPages (register there, if you are not already a member) and look for topics that people have suggested.
- Look at some of your previous articles, and see if you can expand on the topics in a deeper way, or from a different angle.
- Write a “how to” article about something in your field of expertise.
- Have you a collection of PLR articles? Check them for ideas.
I hope at least one of these idea got your creative juices flowing!
