in How Do I Do It?

To get ahead of your competitors when making money online, you’ll want to have your own product to sell… and have available for others to sell. But how do you go about creating a product that has a good chance of making you money? Doesn’t it take hundreds of hours of research and writing, thousands of dollars?

Here is a step-by-step plan to show you how to create your own unique product as quickly and as inexpensively as possible:

Step #1: Decide on Your Topic – You probably already have a niche area that you’re focusing on. That’s the place to start. If not, then you should consider topics that are of interest to you. But until you know there is an existing demand for your product, don’t get started creating it.

Browse the search engines, forums and sites such as Clickbank and eBay to see what type of demand there is. Use MicroNiche Finder to research what topics and keyword searches are being done, and how many searches.

Note: This great tool will even help you find micro niches that you can focus on. You can get it here.

Step #2: Find the Content –To save you time and money, utilize Private Label Rights (PLR) content as much as possible. You can get some really unique content that you can use as your own – while putting your own spin on it. Research to find a few more sources that will give you a variety of information on the same topic. Then do even more research – use the keywords you found in step l, and check out articles and the .org and .edu sites. Remember – this is research, so use it but don’t abuse it!

Step #3: Decide how you’ll use the content – You can create many different types of products. Why not create several options at different price points so that your customers have a good selection to choose from? You can then add up-sells to your order pages. This will encourage purchase of more than one product!  You can easily take your articles and combine them to create a special report, ebook or mini-course. For higher end products, you can record them to create an audio or video product, or you may even want to go as far as having them printed as a physical product.

Why not take your e-book or series of articles, and bundle it with an audio to create a complete product? Be creative! Consider what will appeal to your target audience.

Step #4: Combine content from different sources to create a unique product. Sure, others have access to the same PLR content, but it’s how you choose to combine it and refine it that will make your product stand out. Choose related information from several sources to create your own unique and comprehensive product.

Step #5: Add your own touch – Okay, you’ve combined PLR content from several sources to create your product. Now, adding your own personal touch is always a great way to set yourself apart from the crowd.  Source some illustrations or photos to include. Or, it can be as simple as writing an opening and closing letter with your personal views on the information presented.

Step #6: Get feedback – Always, always, always… have a people you trust to be honest read over your product before you release it. This can be your spouse, friend or colleague but if you choose potential customers, you’ll get better feedback. Maybe you’ll even get a couple of sales and testimonials that you can use in your marketing!

Step #7: Create a winning sales letter – Although some PLR content comes with pre-written sales letters, you will have added some additional information and revised the content. You’ll be much more successful if you write your own sales letter that highlights all of the benefits of your product. There are lots of sales letters out there in cyberspace that you can model yours after. This step may take you the most time!

Now, as they say, ‘rinse and repeat’ these steps for multiple products at different price points Soon you’ll have a complete product line.
